Noel's CB 450

This is my current project. I am building this cb 450 for my good friend Noel Kirven Dows. We came up with a plan a few months back to put together a cool little rider. Something he can blast around town on and look good doing it. Well a simple clean up and ride type build snowballed into a "well if I gonna have this pat off I should smooth this and polish it" so a full on custom build is in effect. Nothing outrageous or crazy here but should be a clean Mixture of cool and stylish with a little pizzaz thrown in for good measure. I will bring you all up to date over the next few posts and keep the updates coming untill this thing is done.

I started with this 1970? Cb 450
cb450Not much there but a good solid roller that fires up. This is where the snowball action started. Had this come with Tina and such a simple clean up probably would have taken place but I had some ideas I wanted to try.

Some parts started showing up and I got an idea of what's to come. Stay tuned and I will bring you up to date on Noel's sweet ride.

Very first blog post

I am starting this post as I sit in the DMV which is of course everyone's favorite thing to do. I have no clue how this thing works. (The blog) so I figure no better way to learn than jump in head first without making sure there is water in the river. Please bear with me as I figure this out in hopes of bringing you up to date with a small glimpse inside my twisted world.

The purpose of this blog is to give anyone who cares to look, a little insight into my crazy adventures in life and business.

What I do: Well as a profession I am a Technician with Audi. That is fancy for an "Audi mechanic". on the side I am living my dreams of taking a hobby to the next level. at the moment I am amidst a great build for a good friend of mine. The build is a 1970ish honda cb 450. I will call this a rule breaker for the time being as i dont really have a specific style set that I am attending to. this is kinda of a the bike speaks to me so I do what it tells me type build.

What is Mixture Motor Co. It's all in the name really. Mixture. It's a name with a zillion meanings, I have a crazy passion for all things mechanical. I cant dedicate myself to one style or one medium. My preferred medium is mechanical things. Cars and Motorcycles. I have a more traditional style when it comes to these but as you will see in my upcoming posts I do not follow any rules.  I like to create what I am inspired to create. think of it as an artistic A.D.D its really a curse but I have finally found an outlet for it and I am lucky enough to be able to share it with you.

What to expect from Mixture Motor Co. I have large plans for this venture of mine. Nothing totally unique in a sense. it's all been done before right? but I will stir the Mixture with my own wrench and hopefully the outcome will be a different blend of automotive and motorcycle culture. I plan to bring said culture to the masses both through my work and eventually a public avenue. look for updates regularly.

As much as i enjoy creating and building things I love to play. Mountain biking, Surfing, Camping, Photography and my Family. This will be an all inclusive blog so I hope you don't mind some highlights of great trips and things I find Beautiful and worthy of a second look. So with that sit back enjoy a few pictures and get ready for more updates on the Life of Eric Christie and Mixture Motor Co.
